Fox Tallies 17 Kills in Tuesday Night Action Against No. 6 Springfield

ALBANY, N.Y. – Russell Sage College Men's Volleyball battled a ranked opponent for the sixth time this season on Tuesday night, falling 3-1 (25-15, 25-13, 24-26, 25-12) to the No. 6 ranked Springfield Pride.

Opposite Dylan Fox (Albany, NY/Colonie Central), the 2024 NEVC Rookie of the Year, shined for the Gators, tallying a game-high 17 kills on a .538 kill percentage. The sophomore added four digs to his statsheet in the ranked matchup.

Junior outside hitter Sean Pingelski (Clifton Park, NY/Shenendehowa) contributed nine kills and three digs, while senior middle blocker Wylkins Occelin (Brooklyn, NY/John Dewey) and freshman middle blocker Evan Devine (Clifton Park, NY/Shenendehowa) each added three kills a piece. Occelin blocked a Gator-high three opposing attacks in the non-conference match.

Freshman setter Anthony Guetti (Clifton Park, NY/Shenendehowa) distributed a game-high 29 assists while adding a kill and a block.

Springfield (10-2) was had three register seven or more kills in the victory. 

RSC (3-15/0-1 NEVC) is back in action on Saturday at the Dean tri-match.

Payne/Wells)…FoxBurrows, and senior opposite Wylkins Occelin (Brooklyn, NY/John Dewey) were voted co-captains.
