RSC Swept at Elms

CHICOPEE, Mass. – Russell Sage College Men's Volleyball was swept 3-0 on Wednesday night at Elms.  The Gators, which dropped the non-conference match by scores of 25-17, 25-23, 25-18, received three or more kills from four different players..

Sophomore opposite Dylan Fox (Albany, NY/Colonie Central), the 2024 New England Volleyball Conference Rookie of the Year, topped RSC with eight kills.

Freshman outside hitter John Lindheimer (Albany, NY/Colonie Central) and freshman middle blocker Evan Devine (Clifton Park, NY/Shenendehowa) contributed four kills apiece.  Lindheimer elevated five Elms attacks, while Devine aced a pair of serves.

Rounding out the quartet was senior middle blocker Wylkins Occelin (Brooklyn, NY/John Dewey), who added three kills and four total blocks,

Sophomore John Bellafronte paced Elms (1-2) with 11 kills on .360 hitting.

RSC is back in action on Saturday at the Lasell tri-match. The Gators (0-6) will face Concordia Wisconsin and the host Lasers, coming in a number 14 in the latest American Volleyball Coaches Association National Poll.


Gator Bites with Papa John's: The spring marks the fourth with Reid Hartl at the helm of the Gators…RSC returns six players from last season's team, highlighted by FoxHartl added nine newcomers to the roster, including senior middle blocker Confidence Burrowes (East Orange, NJ/Donald M. Payne/Wells)…Fox, Burrows, and Occelin were voted co-captains.
