ALBANY, N.Y. – Russell Sage College received a visit from the high-powered Nazareth offense this afternoon. The Golden Flyers began the Saturday matinee averaging an Empire 8 Conference best 2.545 goals per-game to perch atop the E8 standings, and boasted three of the Conference's top four scoring leaders.
The Gators (6-6-1/3-3-1 E8) grounded the visiting attack to earn a 1-1 draw.
Freshman defender Logan Diebold (Williamsville, NY/Williamsville South) scored the RSC goal, while freshman goalkeeper Maximilian Bertmann (South Burlington, VT/South Burlington) (6-5-1) made three saves.
The tightly-contested 90 minutes saw the squad both take eight shots and total a combined eight corners, five of which went to Naz (7-2-3/4-0-2 E8).
RSC is back on the pitch on Wednesday at SUNY Poly. Start time is slated for 6:00 PM.
