ELMIRA, N.Y. – Russell Sage College Men's Soccer traveled to Elmira for a Wednesday evening battle with the Soaring Eagles.
The Gators (4-4-0/2-1-0 E8) got their lone score by senior defender Kunzang Sherpa (Kathmandu, Nepal/Dumont (NJ)), who scored off an assist by sophomore forward Dimitri Gogas (Merrick, NY/W.C. Mepham) for his second goal of the campaign.
Freshman goalkeeper Maximilian Bertmann (South Burlington, VT/South Burlington) (4-3-0) saved six shots on the evening.
Elmira College (2-4-2/2-1-0 E8) grabbed the lead over RSC with two goals from Pietro Gallina, one of which came off of a penalty kick, in the first half.
RSC returns to the pitch on Saturday as they host SUNY Geneseo at 1:00 PM.
