ALBANY, N.Y. - Freshman goalkeeper Maximilian Bertmann (South Burlington, VT/South Burlington) was selected the Empire 8 Conference Defensive Player of the Week for the period ending Sunday, September 22.

The freshman has now been named the E8 defensive player of the week for the second period in a row.

Bertmann registered three saves in the shutout of visiting Alfred on Saturday.

The Gators are back on the pitch on Wednesday as they head to Elmira.
