ALBANY, N.Y. – Russell Sage College freshman goalkeeper Maximilian Bertmann (South Burlington, VT/South Burlington) was selected the Empire 8 Conference Defensive Player of the Week for the period ending Sunday, September 15.
The rookie (3-1-0) totaled nine saves to help RSC go 2-0 last week. He stopped all six shots faced in Saturday's 2-0 E8 shutout victory at SUNY Brockport.
RSC (3-2-0-/1-0-0 E8) looks for its third-straight win on Wednesday at 4:00 PM vs. Hartford.
