ALBANY, N.Y. – Russell Sage College returned to the win column by defeating visiting SUNY Cobleskill 3-1 tonight at the ACP Athletic Complex.
Junior forward Joel Tshiamala (Banyoles, Girona, Spain/Sports EDU/Marietta) converted a penalty kick in the 42nd minute to open the scoring.
After the Fighting Tigers (2-7-2) knotted the contest at the 61:16 mark, forward El Hadji Iba Sy (Bronx, NY/Emma Lazarus), a grad student, put RSC back ahead just 3:15 later.
Sophomore Peter Martillotta (Gasport, NY/Royalton Hartland) closed the scoring with 2:37 left
The Gators (5-5-0) controlled the pace of their "Senior Night" contest, out-shooting SUNY Cobleskill by a 21-5 margin.
RSC is back on the pitch on Saturday afternoon at Saint John Fisher.
