Purchase, NY----The Sage Colleges men's golf team took to the course on Tuesday at the Purchase College Invitational at Old Oaks Country Club. Skyline Conference foe, Farmingdale State College won the six team event with their combined round of 322 for the day. Sage would not field a complete team on the day, but had three individuals compete at the event.
Taking to the course for the Gators were graduate student Elias Rutland (Nassau, NY/Columbia) as he led the team with his round of 109, while freshman Adam Marmuscal (Duanesburg, NY) had a 110. Sophomore Joshua Weaver (Sandlake, NY) rounded out the scoring for Sage with a 114.
Farmingdale's Jim McLaughlin was the medalist with his round of 72 for the day.
Under the direction of second-year head coach, Luke Scala, the Gators will take to the links again on Friday, September 25 when they travel to the Farmingdale State College Tournament at Bethpage Red in Bethpage, NY.
