Troy, NY---The start of the new academic year is always marked with move in day as countless numbers of families decend upon campus with boxes, computers, pillows and refrigerators. This year would be no different, yet Sage families were greeted on Friday by the friendly faces of Sage student-athletes there to make the process less of a burden.
Sage student-athletes greeted the new members of the college with open arms and smiles as the cars, vans and family wagons were all unloaded. By day's end, the new first-year students found themselves all safe and secure in their new homes all through the support of the members of Sage's women's tennis, soccer, volleyball, softball, and both basketball teams as well as coaches and administrators. Sage athletes assisted with move on Friday on both the Albany and Troy campuses.
In addition to assisting with moving in, several Sage student-athletes and non-athletes participated in Orientation and SCA campus projects. A number of Sage's men's basketball players visited the Ronald McDonald House in Albany.
