Albany, NY--The fall of 2010 will bring the launch of another of The Sage College's newest athletic teams. The men's soccer team, guided by rookie head coach, Kyle Clancy will open competition in 2010 at the Oswego State College Tournament on September 3 and 4. Sage opens varsity competition facing the host Lakers at 3:30 p.m. on Friday, September 3.
By year's end, Sage will have competed as a member of the
Skyline Conference facing 10 league opponents, including 2009
Skyline Conference Champions, St. Joseph's College in the team's
home Skyline Conference opener on September 18.
The Gators will host six teams on their home facility at the Albany
Academy for Boys located just a few minutes from the Albany
campus and a stone's throw from the Kahl Campus Center.
The first home men's soccer game for the Gators will take place on
September 14 when Sage hosts Curry College in a non-conference tilt
at 4:30 p.m.
The final home contest for in 2010 Sage takes place on October 23 when Skyline Conference foe, Maritime College visits Albany Academy for Boys for a 1 p.m. league contest.
The Gators will look to qualify for the league's post-season tournament by season's end as first-round action commences on October 30 in the six-team tournament.
