Troy, NY- The Sage Colleges'
women's volleyball program is holding their 2012 Sage
Girls’ Summer Volleyball Camp this week. In attendance is a
record 50 young women that are partaking in this year's
camp in the Neff Athletic Center on the campus of The Sage
Colleges (Troy, NY). The camp is open to girls in grades 6-12 and
2012 high school graduates are also eligible.
The Sage Girls’ Volleyball Camp offers the opportunity
to learn and practice the fundamental skills, techniques, and
strategies necessary for the game of volleyball. Camp staff
is instructing campers in the latest techniques as well as
offensive and defensive systems and strategies. There has also
been time devoted to scrimmages and game situations.
Head Coach and Camp Director, Sandy Augstein-Collins, brings over 16 years of collegiate head coaching experience to the camp. Prior to coming to The Sage Colleges, Augstein-Collins was the Head Coach at Union College and at Randolph Macon Women’s College. Augstein-Collins also coached for ten years at Bethlehem High School. The highly qualified staff consists of high school and college coaches and collegiate players, while a certified athletic trainer has also been on staff during all sessions.
