Medford, NY---St. Joseph's College hosted Sage on Saturday afternoon in a Skyline Conference men's soccer match. The Golden Eagles took the contest 2-0 to improve to 3-5 overall and 2-0 in the conference. Sage falls to 5-4-1 overall and 1-1 in the league.
SJC connected for one goal in each half. Scoring the game-winner was Doug Kane at 13:32. The Golden Eagles pushed in a second goal at 73:12 as John Dettori found the net.
Chris Muhs earned the shutout win in goal after making five saves. Sage's sophomore goalie Tim Madden (Watertown, NY/Watertown) suffered the loss after making a pair of saves in the match and is now 3-3-1 in goal.
Sage will take to the pitch again on Wednesday, September 28 travelling to Yonkers, NY for a Skyline Conference contest against the College of Mt. St. Vincent to be played at Fleming Field at 4 p.m.
