Troy, NY - The
Sage Colleges Athletic Department recently released its new
department logo, on display in the Jeanne H. Neff. Athletic Center.
The new logo is a modern, fierce, and recognizable logo that can be
tailored to individual sports.
In an effort to create a consistent brand within Athletics, Sage
worked with Sage College of Albany graduate Crystal Powell to
create a logo that represented Sage Athletics as a whole. Powell
has since graduated from SCA with her Associates Degree in Graphic
Design and now works as a freelance designer in the Capital
Region.
“We are extremely happy with the new logo and it represents
a huge step forward for Sage Athletics,” said The Sage
Colleges Athletic Director Dani Drews. “With the recent
changes in our department; the new facility and the addition of
men’s athletics, we believe Crystal has created a logo that
represents our department perfectly. In addition, its a logo the
community can easily recognize and tie to Sage
Athletics.”
The new logo is a piece of a branding project that has been in the
works over the past several months. Sage Athletics also recently
launched a brand new website, www.sagegators.com, through
PrestoSports Inc., that includes the new logo and information on
the recent addition of men’s athletics.
The Gator was adopted as the official mascot for the College in
the mid 1980’s. The old logo for athletics had been in use
since 1998.
The new logo will be used on all printed materials, apparel and
merchandise for The Sage Colleges Athletics.
