ALBANY, N.Y. – Russell Sage College freshman goalkeeper Olivia Brand (Little Falls, NY/Little Falls) established the program record for saves in a game with 39 tonight against visiting Skidmore. To date, the total is also the most by any NCAA Division III goalkeeper in a game this fall.
Skidmore (7-7) received multiple points from four different players and out-shot RSC 60-9 in what was an 11-0 non-conference road victory.
Brand, who received an honorable mention to be the NFHCA Division III Defensive Player of the Week for the period ending Sunday, September 29, has now made double-digit stops in each of her five starts during the campaign. Her 103 total saves across 339:18 would be good for 20th nationally if she had enough minutes to qualify.
Looking ahead, RSC (1-12) is back in action on Saturday afternoon at SUNY Geneseo.
