SCHENECTADY, N.Y. – Russell Sage College graduate student Amy Stevens (Castle Creek, NY/Whitney Point) was formally honored Monday evening as one of the three collegiate award recipients for 2024 at the Capital District Sports Women of the Year Awards Gala, held at the GE Theatre at Proctors in Schenectady.

Stevens, who is pursuing her doctorate of physical therapy, had arguably the best debut season ever by a Gator when she starred on the Field Hockey team in 2023. In what was her final collegiate season, Stevens became the program's first-ever All-American when she garnered second-team All-American honors from the National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA).

The first-team NFHCA All-Region selection established single-season program records of 49 points and 20 goals and was voted the Empire 8 Conference Offensive Player of the Year. Her averages of 3.06 points and 1.25 goals both ranked sixth in the country and led the E8.

Stevens, who established the program's single-game record for goals with four, helped RSC (6-10) qualify for the E8 Championship Tournament for the first time last fall.
