ALBANY, N.Y. – Nearly 100 members of the Russell Sage College community braved cold temperatures to participate in its annual Yards for Yeardley event to support the One Love Foundation.
RSC student-athletes, coaches, and staff walked 217,330 yards (more than 123 miles) around the Albany and Troy campuses in remembrance of Yeardley Love, a Virginia Women's Lacrosse player that was tragically killed by her ex-boyfriend in 2010.
The One Love Foundation is a national non-profit with the goal of ending relationship abuse. The organizations empowers young people with tools and resources to see the signs of healthy and unhealthy relationships and bring life-saving prevention education to their communities.
