ALBANY - Russell Sage College Athletics participated in the annual American Cancer Society's Making Strides of Albany Breast Cancer Walk on Sunday, October 20 in Washington Park. More than 350 members of the RSC Athletic Department walked in memory of long-time Director of Athletic Communications Ann King, who passed away in September 2023 following her courageous battle with breast cancer.
"The Annual Breast Cancer Walk in Albany is an event that is near and dear to our hearts at Russell Sage," said Director of Athletics Jim Lyons. "While we walked as a group in memory of Ann King, nearly everyone who participated has felt the impact of breast cancer on someone close to their hearts. Russell Sage is proud to do our part and to donate to this worthy cause. We hope that through our efforts, and through the effort of so many who support the walk, that we can help bring us one step closer to eliminating cancer in our lives and the lives of those we care about."
