ALBANY, N.Y. – Russell Sage College rallied from a 3-1 fourth quarter deficit to force overtime in this evening's 4-3 non-conference setback to the University of Saint Joseph.

Midfielder Alexa Wentz (Whitney Point, NY/ Whitney Point), a grad student, scored all three RSC goals, establishing a collegiate career-best.

Junior goalkeeper Jaia Caron (Bellows Falls, VT/Bellows Falls Union), who was announced as the Empire 8 Conference Defensive Player of the Week on Monday, made 11 saves. She began the week ranked third in the country with 18.50 saves per-game.

Trailing 1-0 at the break, USJ knotted the contest just 13 seconds into the third period.  The Blue Jays (3-2) continued the positive momentum to hold a 3-1 lead with 11:36 remaining in regulation.

Just 1:12 later, Wentz converted a feed from sophomore midfielder Cheyanne Zobel (Clifton Park, NY/Shenendehowa) to get RSC within one. She completed the hat trick with 9:38 left via a penalty stroke.

Freshman forward Grace Kociszewski netted three goals, including the overtime winner just 1:36 into the extra session to pace USJ.

RSC (0-3) begins E8 play on Saturday afternoon at Keuka.  Start time is slated for 12:00 pm.
