ALBANY, N.Y. – Russell Sage College dropped its home opener to Union 4-0 on a rainy and windy Saturday afternoon at UAlbany.
Junior goalkeeper Jaia Caron (Bellows Falls, VT/Bellows Falls Union), among the national leaders in saves per-game, turned aside 18 Union shots, while midfielder Alexa Wentz (Whitney Point, NY/ Whitney Point), a grad student, took a shot on goal.
Freshman midfielder Bobbi Serino led Union (3-1), which held advantages of 34-1 on shots and 9-0 on penalty corners, with two goals.
Looking ahead, RSC (0-2) hosts Saint Joseph's (Conn.) on Tuesday at 6:00 pm.
