ALBANY, N.Y. – Russell Sage College kicked off a back-to-back by defeating visiting Elmira 7-0 tonight at UAlbany. Nine different Gators registered points to deliver Head Coach Carissa Warren her first career victory.
Junior midfielder Tayler Haslob (Monroe, CT/Masuk) led the effort with two goals, while sophomore midfielder Cheyanne Zobel (Clifton Park, NY/Shenendehowa) added a goal and an assist.
Junior goalkeeper Jaia Caron (Bellows Falls, VT/Bellows Falls Union), who began the week ranked third nationally with 14.60 saves-per game, turned aside all four Elmira (0-5/0-2 E8) shots on goal. She holds the school record with five career shutouts and has tallied four double-digit save efforts this autumn.
The Gators out-shot the visiting Soaring Eagles 15-6 and held a 4-3 advantage on penalty corners.
Looking ahead, RSC (1-6/1-2 E8) stays local, playing tomorrow at RPI at 12:00 PM.
