Canton, NY – The Sage Colleges' men's soccer team travelled to SUNY-Canton for a non-conference match with the Kangaroos. SUNY-Canton posted a 1-0 win to improve to 2-0, while Sage drops to 0-2.
Canton scored the lone goal of the contest at the 27:25 mark as Jose Menendez converted the feed from Nick Escalante for his first goal of the season.
Sage's junior goalie TJ Zehner (Beacon, NY/Beacon) had four saves in the action, while Canton's Austin Lamay made two saves in earning the shutout win.
Sage is back in action on September 6 facing SUNY-Potsdam at 3:30 p.m.
