Yeshiva spoils Sage finale, 50-49

Riverdale, NY--- Yeshiva University collected a 50-49 win over The Sage Colleges in men's Skyline Conference basketball play on Saturday evening. Sage caps the season with a 10-15 record, while posting a 5-13 mark in the conference play. Yeshiva improves to 5-20 overall and 5-13 in league play. The Gators and the Maccabees splits results on the year.

Yeshiva led 30-22 at the break and the Gators pulled back from the halftime deficit but not collect the win in the final seconds. 

For the Gators, junior center Ryan Sager (Stuyvesant, NY/Ichabod Crane) connected on 10 points with four rebounds and a block. Sager finished with a team-best 26 blocks this season, while adding a team-leading 54.9 shooting performance from the floor on the year.

Junior forward Matt Farbotko (Rouses Point, NY/Northeastern Clinton) connected on nine points and added four rebounds on the night. He finished the campaign as the team's top rebounder with 147 rebounds. Farbotko now has 831 career points with 405 rebounds in his three seasons at Sage. Sophomore guard Mason Horne (Albany, NY/La Salle Institute) added seven points in the game to finish as the squad's top scorer with a personal-best 301 points and a 12.0 ppg average.
