Houle's career best 19 points paces Gators to convincing 58-31 win

Riverdale, NY –The Sage Colleges' women's basketball team travelled to the College of Mt. St. Vincent for a Skyline Conference contest on Thursday night.  Sage's junior guard Erica Houle (Latham, NY/Shaker) paced the Gators with her career-best 19 points and racked up six three-point baskets as the Gators beat the Dolphins, 58-31. Sage improves to 7-9 overall and 4-4 in the league, while the CMSV drops to 5-12 overall and 0-8 in the league.

Sage led 25-15 at the break as Houle led the team with her 10 points after hitting 3 of 5 from three-point range. By game's end, she had a Sage career-high 19 points and just missed tying the Sage single-game mark for most three pointers in a game (7) as she finished with six. By game's end, Sage had 10 three-point baskets, marking the second time this season the team had hit that mark. The team single-game record stands at 14 three-pointers, while the team has now had 10 on four separate occasions.

Sophomore center Amie Jefferson (Albany, NY/Colonie Central) had a strong performance as she had seven points with 12 rebounds. She also tallied two blocked shots in pacing the team.

The Gators will be back in action on January 26 when they host the Rams of Farmingdale State College in a 1 p.m. Skyline Conference contest.
