Kovage named Skyline Conference Co-Rookie of the Week

Troy, NY – The Sage Colleges' softball team's rookie pitcher, Katie Kovage (Hoosick Falls, NY/Hoosick Falls Central) was named the Skyline Conference Co-Rookie of the Week to open this week after her strong performance with the Gators to close out March.

On March 29, she tossed no-hit shut out in her first collegiate start after fanning five in the Gators' 11-0 win over SUNY-Cobleskill. She had a perfect game until the fifth inning. For the week, she was 1-0 in the circle with two appearances and a 0.0 ERA with eight strikeouts. On the season, she is 1-0 with a 2.37 era and has 13 strikeouts in 20.2 IP in 8 appearances.

The Gators will be back in action on April 4 hosting Skidmore College in a non-conference doubleheader at 3:30 p.m. at Robison Field at the Neff Athletic Center (Troy, NY).
