KEUKA PARK, N.Y. – Russell Sage College Men's Basketball cruised to a 67-43 Empire 8 Conference victory this afternoon at Keuka.
The Gators (8-2/1-0 E8), shot 45.8 percent from the field, including 60.9 percent in the second half, to secure their fifth-consecutive win.
RSC, which overcame an early deficit to lead by as many as 26, had four players score in twin figures in its E8 opener.
Senior guard Noah Girard (Glens Falls, NY/Glens Falls) topped the Gators with 18 points on 6-of-11 shooting. The guard, who is the program's career leader for made three-pointers, went 5-of-8 from downtown and had a pair of assists and two steals.
Senior forward Todd Williamson (Schenectady, NY/Notre Dame Bishop Gibbons), who was announced as the Conference's Player of the Week for the period ending January 5th on Monday, contributed 11 points on 5-of-7 shooting, six rebounds, four assists and two steals, while sophomore guard Jden Golding (Green Cove Springs, FL/Clay) added 14 points.
Sophomore Avery Oduro-Dompreh (Elkridge, MD/Oakland Mills) recorded his third-straight double-double in the road win. The forward tallied 10 points on 5-of-10 shooting, 11 rebounds, and two steals.
Junior guard Akinlana Popoola paced Keuka (3-6/0-1 E8) with 18 points.
Looking ahead, the Gators are back in action on Friday at home vs. SUNY Geneseo. Tip-off is slated for 7:30 PM.
