Middletown, CT---The Sage Colleges' women's outdoor track and field team competed on Saturday at the Wesleyan University Swanson Invitational, a non-team scored meet.

For Sage's women's team, sophomore Ashley Maresca (Brant Lake, NY/North Warren Central) finished in fourth place in the 1,500 meter run in 5:26.09 and added an 11th place finish in the 400 meter run in 1:08.27. Freshman Sharmise Pratt (New York, NY/Urban Assembly for Careers in Sports) picked up 15th in the 400 meter dash in 1:26.91.

In the 200 meter dash, rookie Krystal Lambert (Brooklyn, NY/John Dewey) picked up 15th place in 28.04. Junior Abimibola Ogunware (Springfield Gardens, NY/Hillcrest) finished in 28th place in 33.30, while Pratt added 29th place in 37.11.

Lambert finished in 9th in the long jump with her performance of 4.2 meters, while also taking 13th place in the 100 meter dash in 13.61. Ogunware picked up 16th in the 100 in 14.71, while Victoria Bunk picked up 7th place in the 800 meter run in 3:15.02.


Sage also posted a time of 1:03.31 in the 4 x 100 relay as Lambert, Ogunware, sophomore Anna McConnell (Broadalbin, NY/Amsterdam), and Pratt picked up ninth place.

Next up for the Gators is competition on April 16 at the SUNY-Delhi Bronco Invitational and again on April 19 at the Springfield College Invitational.
