ALBANY, N.Y. – Russell Sage College outfielder Arianna Papas (Castleton, NY / Maple Hill) and pitcher Taylor Dicranian (Bennington, VT/Mt. Anthony Union) were selected for the Empire 8 Conference 25th Anniversary Softball Team.

Papas garnered third-team All-American honors from the National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) in 2023 and was voted the 2022 and 2023 E8 Player of the Year. Papas, who holds the program's career record with a .488 batting average, earned first-team NFCA All-Region honors in all three of her seasons as a Gator, 2021-2023.

Dicranian, a Gator from 2019-2023, was a three-time NFCA All-Region selection and was voted first-team All-E8 during her final three seasons.  She holds the program's career records for appearances (94), innings pitched (447.1) and doubles (51). Dicranian earned 37 victories and tossed 42 complete games, good for second and fourth respectively among RSC pitchers.

The duo helped RSC make the Conference Championship Tournament each year from 2021-2023, culminating with reaching the finals of the 2023 edition.

2023-2024 marked the 25th Anniversary season for the Empire 8 Conference.
