Women’s Team Room, Remodeled by Greco Construction, Unveiled

Armory Women's Team Room

ALBANY, N.Y. – Russell Sage College Athletics partnered with Greco Construction to remodel the women's team room in the Armory.

The project, completed thanks to RSC alum and Hall of Famer Sam Greco Jr. '64 and Sam Greco III at Greco Construction and Larry Lenartz, a parent of one of the RSC softball players, was unveiled to the women's soccer, women's lacrosse, field hockey, and softball programs on Wednesday night.

"We are so grateful to Greco Construction for their incredible work and craftsmanship," said Jim Lyons, Director of Athletics.  "Locker rooms and team gathering spaces are so important to a college athlete, and the Greco family hit a home run with the work they did for us.  Our women's soccer, women's lacrosse, field hockey and softball programs will feel an immediate impact due to the upgrades provided by the Greco family. Russell Sage takes great pride in partnering with local companies like Greco Construction, we look forward to continuing that collaboration for years to come, and we thank them from the bottom of our hearts."

"From the beginning of this year, we knew that the locker room was going to be a top priority on the list of upgrades we wanted to make for the softball program," said Head Softball Coach Stephanie Reinhardt. "We were lucky enough to get connected through Larry Lenartz with Greco Construction who were willing to jump in and help us with this project.  From day one they were able to lend great ideas, craftsmanship, and time to help bring our vision to life.  Now, because of their donations, softball, field hockey, women's soccer, and women's lacrosse are able to give our student athletes a space that can help them succeed both on and off the field.  We are so grateful for this amazing gift they have given to Sage Athletics!"

The area, which includes a study space and a fueling station, will undoubtedly benefit these athletic programs.
