Cobb Promoted to an Assistant Director of Athletics

ALBANY, N.Y. –  Russell Sage College Director of Athletics Jim Lyons announced that Head Women's Soccer Coach Garrett Cobb has been promoted to an Assistant Director of Athletics.

Cobb, who completed his eighth season at the helm of the Gators this fall, will expand the Department's marketing and fundraising efforts in the role.  He will also continue to serve as the point person for Gator Day of Giving and the Gator Golf Classic.

"I'm incredibly grateful and honored for this opportunity and excited to take on the role of Assistant Director of Athletics," said Cobb. "I look forward to expanding our department's marketing and fundraising efforts and continuing to build relationships in the community that will benefit the Department and College.  Thank you to Jim Lyons, Trish Cellemme, and the entire athletic department for their support. I'm eager to contribute to the growth and success of Sage Athletics in this new capacity."

"Garrett is a proven commodity at Russell Sage College.  His teams are always highly competitive, and they represent Russell Sage in the best possible way.  In addition to his coaching success, Garrett has been instrumental in all of our department's fundraising activities during his time here.  I look forward to working closely with Garrett in his new role, and I am certain he will bring tremendous value to the department in our efforts to expand our marketing and fundraising outreach." 
 

Russell Sage College Athletics sponsors 21 athletic programs at the NCAA Division III level. The Gators compete as a member of the Empire 8 Conference in 18 of those sports. Men's Volleyball is a member of the New England Volleyball Conference, while eSports competes as a member of the Eastern College Athletic Conference. Women's Golf competes as a member of the Northeast Women's Golf Conference.
