ALBANY, N.Y. – Russell Sage College played to a scoreless draw with visiting Norwich on Sunday afternoon.
Senior goalkeeper Tyler Brennan (Albany, NY/Shaker) (1-0-1) registered five saves, while Norwich junior goalkeeper Nicolas Lanza made one.
The Cadets (0-0-1) out-shot the Gators 9-4 and held a 6-1 advantage on corner kicks during the 90 minutes.
Looking ahead, RSC (1-0-1) competes on the road for the first time this fall on Tuesday at Westfield State.
Notes: The Gators, which have finished in the top half of the Empire 8 Conference standings in three of the last four seasons, made their fourth appearance in the E8 Championship Tournament in 2022…RSC got off to its best-ever start in E8 play at 3-0-0, and established a program single-season record with five E8 victories during the debut campaign of head coach Amir Pasic.
