Pair of School Records Fall at UAlbany

ALBANY, N.Y. – Russell Sage College had a pair of school records fall at Friday's UAlbany Spring Invitational.

Senior Kaiden Simpson (Bennington, VT/Mount Anthony Union) increased his program standard in the javelin with a winning throw of 50.74m.

Senior Tim Varano (Plattsburgh, NY), making his Gator debut, broke the school record in the discus, finishing second with a 41.06m toss.

A pair of Gators finished in the top-eight of the 400m run.  Senior David Adadjo (Nassau, NY/Columbia) was fifth with a time of 50.83, while junior Chris Pellegrini (Loudonville, NY/Colonie Central) crossed the line in 53.70, good for eighth.  

On the women's side, junior Hannah Maxson  (Johnstown, NY/Johnstown) was fifth in the javelin with a mark of 30.66m. Senior Sarah Armenia (Saratoga Springs, NY/Shen) took seventh in the event with a 26.16m toss.

Junior Alexis Arango (Albany, NY/Albany) completed 400m in 1:06.38 to finish eight.

Looking ahead, the Gators have their final prep for the E8 Outdoor Championships at the Capital District Classic, hosted by RPI, on Friday.


Gator Bites powered by Papa Johns:  RSC has now broke four school records this spring…The Gators set 11 program records this winter, seven by the men and four by the women…The 2025 Empire 8 Conference Outdoor Track and Field Championships are set for May 2-3 at SUNY Brockport…Both RSC squads finished in ninth place at the 2025 E8 Indoor Track and Field Championships.
