ALBANY, N.Y. – Junior Chris Pellegrini (Loudonville, NY/Colonie Central) and sophomore Alexis Olen (Woodstock, NY/Onteora) represent Russell Sage College Indoor Track and Field on the 2024-2025 Empire 8 Conference Sportsmen and Sportswomen of the Year Team. The Empire 8 Conference emphasizes that "Competing with Honor and Integrity" is an essential component of a student-athlete's experience in conjunction with an institution's educational mission. These honorees have distinguished themselves and consistently exhibit the critical traits as outstanding sportsmen and sportswomen.
Pellegrini, a mid-distance runner, set the program record in the 600m run with a time of 1:32.02 at Smith on February 1. He also holds the school standard in the 1,000m run and is part of the record-setting 4x400m relay team.
Olen, also a member of the RSC Field Hockey team, competes in the sprints and the hurdles. She dashed 60m in 10.29 and 200m in 35.64 at Ocean Breeze on December 6. This February, Olen hurdled 60m in 12.80.
