HAMILTON, N.Y. – Russell Sage College registered two program records and seven top-five finishes at Friday's Hamilton Invitational.
Senior David Adadjo (Nassau, NY/Columbia) lowered the school standard in the 200m dash with a time of 22.54. The clocking was good for third place out of 47 entries. The senior finished second in the 400m run with a time of 50.13.
Junior Dylan Lawless (Slingerlands, NY) established the school record in the pole vault by clearing 3.05m. He was second in the event and sixth in the 110m hurdles with a time of 17.50.
The 4x400m relay team of Adadjo, Lawless, Junior Chris Pellegrini (Loudonville, NY/Colonie Central), and senior Jacob Haynes (Cambridge, NY/Cambridge Central) crossed the line fifth with a time of 3:41.78.
Senior Kaiden Simpson (Bennington, VT/Mount Anthony Union) finished second in the javelin with a mark of 47.61m.
For the RSC women's team, junior Hannah Maxson (Johnstown, NY/Johnstown) placed fifth in the javelin with a 26.51m toss.
Sophomore Mercedez Cecelia-Storey (Pine Hill, NY/Onteora) recorded a pair of top-ten finishes. She was eighth in the shot put with a distance of 8.50m and ninth in the hammer with a 27.80m throw.
Looking ahead, the Gators compete next on Friday, April 11 at RPI.
