RSC Sets Three Program Records in Season Opener

STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. – Russell Sage College Track and Field saw a trio of program indoor records fall at Friday's Fast Track College Season Opener, held at the Ocean Breeze Athletic Complex on Staten Island.

Senior David Adadjo (Nassau, NY/Columbia) lowered his program record in the 60m dash with a time of 7.25.  He finished fifth out of 56 entries in the 400m run with a 50.30 clocking, and completed 200m in 22.80, good for 24th out of 114 competitors. 

Sophomore Dylan Fox (Albany, NY/Colonie Central) set the school standard in the long jump with a mark of 6.25m. The leap surpassed the previous RSC best by nearly two feet.

On the women's side, junior Tirzah Spivey (Clifton Park, NY/Schenectady) set the program's 500m record by more than 51 seconds with a time of 1:26.90.   

Sophomore Mercedez Cecelia-Storey (Pine Hill, NY/Onteora) registered the team's highest finish of the afternoon, tossing the weight 11.05m to take 13th out of 33 entries.

The Gators are back in action in late January 2025.
