BROOKLYN – River Seybolt (Seldon, NY/Longwood) recorded two goals and an assist in Sage's 7-0 win over St. Joseph's (Brlyn) on Sunday afternoon.

Sage (9-3-2, 5-1-1 Skyline) went up 2-0 before halftime when Heriberto Gomez (Valatie, NY/Ichabod Crane) scored off a rebounded shot by Seybolt in the 35th minute.

Sage continued to bring the heat on offence in the second half when Peter Fabrykiewicz (Delancey, NY/Andes) scored on a breakaway off a through ball from Alex Lanza (Poughkeepsie, NY/Spackenkill) in the 55th minute. 23 seconds later, Lanza had a goal of his own off a James Lagunas (Passaic, NJ/Passaic County Technical) through ball.

TJ Zehner (Beacon, NY/Beacon) made his only save of the game off a Kyle Johnson in the 57th minute.

Seybolt put the Gators up 5-0 in the 70th minute off a Liam Hayes (Rensselaer, NY/Columbia) cross.

The Gator's final goal of the game came off the foot of Elhadj Kourouma (New Haven, CT/Wilbur L. Cross) in the 80th minute off a through ball by Derlis Zayas (White Plains, NY/White Plains).

Zehner and Chris Dunham's (Valley Falls, NY/Grace Christian) combined efforts in goal gave Sage their ninth shutout of the season. The defensive line of Reynoso, Luis Teran (Farmingdale, NY/Newfield), Joe Diano, Christian Pinti (Slate Hill, NY/Minisink Valley), Kyle LeClerc (Beacon, NY/Beacon), Ryan Fairweather (Middletown, NY/Minisink Valley), James Fitzpatrick (Stony Brook, NY/Ward Melville) and Evans Frimpong (Bronx, NY/Frederick Douglas Academy) only let the Bears get off two shots in 90 minutes of play.

Zehner (9-3-2) was credited with the win while St. Joe's (0-11-2, 0-8-1 Skyline) Nolan Parr (0-11-2) picked up the loss on an eight save effort.
