FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: Seybolt, Zehner, and Gator Defense Nationally Ranked
ALBANY – River Seybolt (Seldon, NY/Longwood), TJ Zehner (Beacon, NY/Beacon) and the Gator defense are currently ranked nationally in all of NCAA Division III Men's Soccer.
Seybolt, the Gator's leading goal-scorer is nationally ranked in three different categories. The freshman is 6th in game-winning-goals (4.0), 20th in shots-per-game (4.78) and 26th in shots-on-goal-per-game (2.33).
Zehner, the senior goalie, ranks 23rd in the nation in save percentage (.851). The captain leads the Skyline Conference in goals-against-average (.81), save percentage, shutouts (7) and shutouts-per-game (.64).
Zehner and the Sage defense are ranked 17th in the nation in shutout percentage (.64). Key members of the Gator defense in those shutouts included Kyle LeClerc (Beacon, NY/Beacon), Luis Teran (Farmingville, NY/Newfield), Andrew Bartoah (New Haven, CT/James Hilhouse), Paul Reynoso (Fulton, NY/G. RayBodley), and Christian Pinti (Slate Hill, NY/Minisink Valley).
The Gators are set to play Yeshiva Sun., Oct. 11 at ACP for "Take a Kid to the Game Day." Kickoff is scheduled for 3:00 p.m.
