ALFRED, N.Y. – Russell Sage College dropped both ends of this afternoon's doubleheader at Alfred, 8-0 (Five Innings) and 6-3.

Sophomore infielder Annalise Tyler (Schenectady, NY/Schalmont) paced the Gators with a 3-for-7 afternoon.  She had an RBI double in the second game.

Senior outfielder Madalyn Ring (Gansevoort, NY/South Glens Falls), and sophomore shortstop Allison Kenyon (Mechanicville, NY/Mechanicville) each went 2-for-5 with a run scored across the pair of Empire 8 Conference road setbacks.

After the Saxons (15-5/6-2 E8) tallied 14 hits to take the opener, RSC saw its 1-0 advantage dissipate with four Alfred markers in the bottom of the fourth.  The Saxons added pair of runs in the bottom of the sixth, which became important when Tyler and junior infielder Hannah Smith (Clifton Park, NY/Clifton Park/Saint Rose) laced RBI singles in the top of the seventh.

The Gators (7-15/3-3 E8) are slated to play next on Wednesday at home against Utica.
