Sage men's volleyball team splits action on Sunday at Endicott Tournament

  

Beverly, MA-- The Sage Colleges' men's volleyball team wrapped play on Sunday afternoon at the 14-team Endicott College Men's Volleyball Invitational. Sage faced Hilbert College and tallied a 3-1 win (20-25, 25-19, 25-11, 25-23), but fell in the second contest to Stevenson University, 3-0 (25-19, 25-19, 25-21).         Sage stands at 16-7 on the year and continues to add to the program's best effort with the most wins in program history.

Against Hilbert, sophomore Dylan Krowicki (Little Falls, NY/Little Falls) added 20 kills with two aces, three digs and a pair of block assists. Junior Spencer Hilland (Slingerlands, NY/Bethlehem Central) recorded 15 kills on the afternoon with five digs and three total blocks.

Junior setter Kyle Ray (Horseheads, NY/Horseheads) handed out 36 setting assists with six digs, while sophomore Scott Fitzgerald (Hudson Falls, NY/Queensbury) added a team-best 10 digs. He added an ace with a pair of blocks.

In the final match for the Gators of the tournament, Krowicki netted 11 kills with eight digs. Hilland picked up eight kills and eight digs with three block assists.

Ray rounded out the day with 29 setting assists and now has 765 setting assists this season. Sage's career leader for setting assists Ray now has 1,476.

The Gators return to action on April 1 travelling to Yeshiva University for a noon Skyline Conference quad-match featuring action with NJCU and the hosts, Yeshiva at noon and 2 p.m.
