Quinones Sweeps Weekly Honors taking acclaim from Skyline and ECAC

Albany, NY – The Sage Colleges' women's cross country team was well represented on the weekly awards as rookie Ilenis Quinones (Amsterdam, NY/Amsterdam) was named the Skyline Conference Female Rookie Runner of the Week as well as the ECAC Corvais Metro Rookie Runner of the Week.

While competing at the 2014 Skyline Conference Championships on Sunday, Quinones led the Gators to a strong third place team finish. She was the top Gator finisher in the 5 k race as she posted a time of 21:05.71 and finished in sixth place, taking home Skyline Conference All-Star First Team honors. She was also selected as the 2014 Skyline Conference Rookie Runner of the Year for her efforts. Both honors are first for the Sage Gator women's cross country program.
