Westfield, MA– The Sage Colleges' women's cross country team was in action on Saturday at the 2014 Eastern College Athletic Conference Championships, held at Stanley Park and hosted by Westfield State University. Williams College swept the team titles winning both the women's 6 k race and the men's 8 k race. Sage's women's team finished in 35th place.

Leading the way for the Gator women's team in the 6 k race was rookie Ilenis Quinones (Amsterdam, NY/Amsterdam) as she posted a time of 24:08.59 and finished in 53rd place.   

Senior Alaina Krueger (Selkirk, NY/Ravena-Coeymans-Selkirk) picked up 191st place in 27:10.87, while sophomore Lauren Belfast (Ilion, NY/Ilion) picked up 236t place in 28:17.88. Sophomore Morgan Rush (Troy, NY/Averill Park) added a time of 29:24.91 and finished in 271st place.  Junior Kayla Hartman (Sugar Land, TX/Stephan Austin) took 293rd place in 31:42.38, while sophomore Melissa Grimaldi (Nassau, NY/Columbia) picked up 309th in 36:26.06.

Sage will wrap the 2014 campaign on November 15 competing at the NCAA Division III East Regionals in Rochester, NY at Genesee Park.
