Pearson ties career three-point mark as Gators fall at CMSV

Riverdale, NY— The Sage College's women's basketball team travelled to the College of Mt. St. Vincent on Thursday night for a Skyline Conference match-up. The host Dolphins spoiled Sage's perfect Skyline Conference record as they rallied from a 45-33 halftime deficit and posted the 77-62 win over the Gators. The loss was the first of the season for Sage in Skyline Conference play as the drop to 19-5 overall and are now 13-1 in the league. The Dolphins improve to 15-8 overall and 11-3 in the league.

Sage's sophomore forward Gen Schoff (Little Falls, NY/Little Falls) finished with a double-double on 17 points and 14 rebounds with four blocked shots. She was 7-7 from the line in the action and now has an impressive 123 free throws this season, an active Sage mark. On her career, Schoff now has 175 career free throws made and boasting 572 career points.

Sage's junior guard Frankie Pearson (Hoosick Falls, NY/Hoosick Falls Central) tallied 13 points and made four three-point baskets in the contest to tie the program's all-time three point mark as she now has 126 career three-point baskets and is tied with Carly Vallee (126, 2009-2013). 

Rookie guard Emily Parslow (Fonda, NY/Fonda-Fultonville) also finished with double-digits as she had 15 points and shot 70.0% from the floor as she converted 7-of-10 field goals in the contest.

Sage returns to action on Sunday, February 14 hosting Yeshiva University in a 1 p.m. Skyline Conference match-up. The Gators will honor Krystyn Knockwood (Troy, NY/Troy) in conjunction with Senior Day, while also hosting Sage's Super Hero Day. All fans wearing super hero costumes will be eligible for prizes.
