Coddington takes home 12th in Shot Put at AARTFCC

New York, NY--Russell Sage College men's indoor track and field team opened competition on Friday the 2023 All-Atlantic Region Track and Field Conference Championship at the Armory in New York City.  

Senior John Coddington (Amsterdam, NY/Broadalbin-Perth) competed in the shot put on Friday and had a mark of 14.55 and finished in 12th place. He holds the school record in the event having recorded a toss of 15.23 meters earlier this season and ranked 33rd nationally entering the championship this weekend.  

On Saturday, Coddington will compete in the weight throw, while sophomore David Adadjo (Nassau, NY/Columbia) will run in the 400m.  Coddington, who was the 2023 Empire 8 runner up in the weight throw recorded a mark of 16.70 meters to break his own school record and be in action at 1 p.m. Saturday, while Adadjo is slated to run at 12:20 p.m.

Adadjo holds the school record in the 400 meter dash, which he set last season in a time of 50.13 while running at the Boston University St. Valentine Invitational.
