Sage falls to Union, 1-0

Albany, NY—Sage's men's soccer team hosted Union College on Tuesday evening at ACP Stadium in a non-conference game. Union earned the 1-0 win to improve to 10-6 overall, while the loss puts Sage at 8-8.

After playing a scoreless first half, Union's rookie forward Evan Farr (Saratoga Springs, NY/Saratoga Springs) put the Dutchmen onto the scoreboard with his goal at 66:04. Assisting on the goal was senior forward Jeremy Conn (Woodbridge, CT/Loomis Chaffee). The goal was the fourth of the year for Farr and his second game-winner this season.

Sage had several chances, but each time Union's junior Trevor Krupp (Farmington, CT/Kingswood Oxford) came up with a save. Sage had 18 shots and Krupp made 10 saves in earning the shutout win and is now 8-6 in goal.

Sage's sophomore goalkeeper Lucas Bourdeau (Castleton-on-Hudson, NY/Maple Hill) made two saves and drops to 8-8 on the season.

Sage is back in action travelling to Houghton College on November 2 for a 3:30 p.m. Empire match with the Highlanders.

Union College is on the road at Clarkson University on November 2 in a 2 p.m. Liberty League match.
