Ingellis Lowers Two Program Records at E8 Championships

ROCHESTER, N.Y. –  Russell Sage College had three program records fall on Friday and Saturday at the Empire 8 Conference Indoor Track and Field Championships, hosted by Nazareth College.

Senior John Coddington (Amsterdam, NY/Broadalbin-Perth) recorded the highest finish at the meet for the Gators, taking second in the weight throw with a program-record toss of 16.70m. He placed third in the shot put with a 14.40m mark.

Freshman Noah Rivera (Monroe, NY/Monroe Woodbury) took fourth in the triple jump with a 12.97m leap.

Sophomore David Adadjo (Nassau, NY/Columbia) completed 400m in 50.87 and sprinted 200m in 23.89. The clockings were good for tenth and 14th respectively.

The 4x400m relay team of: sophomore David Adadjo (Nassau, NY/Columbia), sophomore Isaac Langer (Hudson, NY/Taconic Hills), freshman Christopher Pellegrini (Loudonville, NY/Colonie Central), and freshman Noah Rivera (Monroe, NY/Monroe Woodbury) finished fifth with a time of 3:48.46.

As a team, the Gators tied for fifth out of seven competing institutions with 20 points. Nazareth captured the men's team title with 178 points.     

On the women's side, sophomore Elizabeth Ingellis (Kingston, NY/Kingston) bettered two of her program records.  She shattered her program record in the 5,000m run. Her sixth-place time of 19:02.77 bettered her previous standard  by more than 21 seconds. Ingellis lowered the 5000m record with a time of 11:07.11. The clocking was good for ninth on the day.

Junior Mackenzie Feeney (Saugerties, NY/Saugerties) registered a pair of top-ten finishes.  She was eighth in the mile with a time of 5:30.81 and ninth in the 800m with a 2:30.91 clocking.

The 4x400m relay squad of: junior Mackenzie Feeney (Saugerties, NY/Saugerties), sophomores Elizabeth Ingellis (Kingston, NY/Kingston), and Crystal Ivery (Cairo, NY/Cairo-Durham), and freshman Charisma Losee (Troy, NY/Lansingburgh) placed fifth in the event with a time of 4:51.11.

RSC finished in seventh place with three points. The host Golden Flyers also won the women's team title with 192 points.
