Amherst, MA –The Sage College's women's outdoor track and field team was in action at the Pioneer Invitational at Smith College, a non-team scored meet.

For Sage's women's team, sophomore Krystal Lambert (Brooklyn, NY/John Dewey) had another impressive meet. She was fourth in the 100 meter dash in 13.43, while adding a 10th place in the long jump (4.19 meters), as well as an 18th place finish in the 200 meter dash in 30.17.

In the 1,500 meter run, Sage's sophomore Lauren Belfast (Ilion, NY/Ilion) took 18th in 5:58.55, while junior Ellyn Fisher (Queensbury, NY/Queensbury) picked up 22nd place in 6:02.15. Belfast also finished in 15th place in the 800 meter run with her performance of 2:55.94.

Sophomore Sarah Montgomery (Gloversville, NY/Mayfield) picked up 32nd in the 800 meter race in 6:43.25 and was an impressive fifth place finisher in the 400 meter hurdles in 1:35.96.

In the 3,000 meter steeplechase, freshman Samantha Phelps (Amsterdam, NY/Fonda Fultonville) took fifth in 13:57.73, while rookie Sarah VanAernem (Ballston Spa, NY/Ballston Spa) picked up eighth in the 100 meter hurdles in 18.27. In the 100 meter dash, freshman Adrienne Dudla (Stillwater, NY/Stillwater) added a seventh place finish in 13.81, while sophomore Sharmise Pratt (New York, NY/Urban Assembly for Careers in Sports) took 26th in 16.29 and junior Mary Valentine (Houstatonic, MA/Monument Mountain) was next in 27th in 16.38.

In the 200 meter dash, Sage's freshman Samantha Mears (Bennington, VT/Mount Anthony Union) was 20th in 30.77, while Pratt picked up 40th in 35.39. Dudla added a seventh in the pole vault with her mark of 2.16 meters. Mears was also fourth for Sage in the high jump with a leap of 1.38 meters.

In the long jump, VanAernem was eighth with a leap of 4.3 meters, while Mears also took eighth (4.3 meters). Freshman Alyssa Tatro (Constable, NY/Franklin Academy) was next in 11th with a jump of 4.13 meters. In the shot put, junior Leanna Egan (Schenectady, NY/Mohonasen) was 23rd with a put of 5.07 meters, while sophomore Allison Hill (Hyde Park, NY/FDR) took 24th (5.06 meters). In the javelin, Montgomery took 19th with her throw of 18,66 meters, while Tatro picked up 20th (17.31 meters). Hill was next with 23rd (12.57 meters). Hill also finished in 17th in the discus throw with her performance of 14.67 meters.

Sage's relays also had a strong showing as the Gators were fifth in the 4 x 100 relay in 55:25 and also fifth in the 4 x 400 relay (5:08.39). Competing for Sage in the 4 x 100 relay were Lambert, Tatro, Mears, and Dudla, while Dudla, Belfast, Fisher, and Lambert ran the 4 x 400 relay.
