ALBANY, N.Y. – Russell Sage College had nine individuals earn All-Empire 8 Conference Outdoor Track and Field honors. Accolades were determined based upon the Conference Championships, held May 3-4 at Saint John Fisher.

Senior El Hadji Iba Sy (Bronx NY/Emma Lazarus) earned third-team All-E8 honors in three events, the 200m dash, the 400m dash and the 4x400m relay. He currently holds the program record in the 400m and is part of the record-setting 4x400m relay team, along with junior David Adadjo (Nassau, NY/Columbia), sophomore Dominic Harkness (Morrisonville, NY/Saranac), and freshman Ethan Turner (Bridgeton, NJ/Cumberland Regional).

Adadjo and junior Kaiden Simpson (Bennington, VT/Mount Anthony Union) both garnered second-team status. Adadjo, the 200m dash school record holder, finished second in the 400m dash in front of Iba Sy, while Simpson increased his program record in the javelin with a toss of 48.33m, good for second place.

Freshman Dylan Fox (Albany, NY/Colonie) finished third in the long jump, equaling the school standard in the event with a mark of 6.70m. The rookie also was voted the Conference Rookie of the Year as a member of the RSC Men's Volleyball Team.

Senior Mackenzie Feeney (Saugerties, NY/Saugerties) wrapped up her Gator cross country and track and field career by receiving third-team All-Conference distinction in the 1,500m run. Feeney, who earned All-Empire 8 Conference Outdoor Track and Field honors in all four years, closed the spring with program outdoor records in the 800m and 1,500m runs.

Junior thrower Randal Johnson (East Orange, NJ/East Orange) and senior Giuliana Capparello (Fonda, NY/Fonda-Futlonville), a sprinter, represent Russell Sage College on the 2024 Empire 8 Conference Outdoor Track and Field Sportsmen and Sportswomen of the Year Teams. The E8 emphasizes that "Competing with Honor and Integrity" is an essential component of a student-athlete's experience in conjunction with an institution's educational mission. These honorees have distinguished themselves and consistently exhibit the critical traits as outstanding sportsmen and sportswomen.

The Gators registered eight school outdoor records and nine top-five finishes at the Empire 8 Conference Championships, hosted by Saint John Fisher on May 3 and 4. Both RSC teams finished sixth out of seven squads.
