CORTLAND, N.Y. – Russell Sage College had three student-athletes compete at the 2024 All-Atlantic Region Track and Field Conference Championships, hosted by SUNY Cortland, on Thursday afternoon.
Senior El Hadji Iba Sy (Bronx NY/Emma Lazarus) and junior David Adadjo (Nassau, NY/Columbia) both sprinted 400m. Iba Sy was 24th with a time of 49.60, while Adadjo crossed the line in 49.91 to finish 27th. The duo, which were All-Empire 8 Conference picks in the event, both lowered the program's 400m dash record this spring.
Senior Mackenzie Feeney (Saugerties, NY/Saugerties), who earned All-Empire 8 Conference Outdoor Track and Field honors in all four years, finished 18th in the 1,500m with a time of 5:20.45. She closed the spring with program outdoor records in the 800m and 1,500m runs.
Gator Bites: After setting 13 indoor program records, Russell Sage College registered eight school outdoor records and nine top-five finishes at the Empire 8 Conference Championships, hosted by Saint John Fisher on May 3 and 4…Both Gator teams finished sixth out of seven squads.
