LEBANON, PA – Russell Sage College Men's Golf competed in the spring portion of the Empire 8 Championships on Friday and Saturday, finishing the four-round championship in fifth place as a team, totaling a 1513.
The Gators placed third in the spring action, coming in at +76 as a team. Senior Shane Kammerman (Cortlandt Manor, NY/Walter Panas) was the lowest finisher for RSC, carding a +16 for the two days, good for a tie for seventh place.
Kammerman finished at +39 for the full tournament, placing eleventh, while senior Elijah Waterhouse (Lake Luzerne, NY/Hadley Luzerne) finished right behind him, tied for 13th place at +40. Based upon their four-round finishes the pair garnered third-team All-Conference honors.
Freshman Luke Finlan (Albany, NY/LaSalle Inst.) finished the tournament in 16th place at +44 and sophomore Ryan Arp (Greenville, NY/Greenville CAD) came in 17th, carding a +47 across the four rounds.
Arp carded the lowest single round for all Gators, shooting a 78 in round four, the fourth best score of all in the field on the final day.
