Rookie Amanda Post (Miller Place, NY/Miller Place) picked up a narrow 6-4, 6-3 win over Sage's rookie Sammantha Montague (Glenville, NY/Scotia-Glenville) at No. 1 singles.

The Gators got wins in singles at the No. 2 and No. 6 singles as graduate performer Melissa Estremera (Millbrook, NY/Millbrook) and junior Shanice Mendoza (North Plainfield, NJ/North Plainfield) were victorious. Estremera topped rookie Alana Caporale (Mt. Sinai, NY/Mount Sanai), 6-1, 6-0. Mendoza added a win at No. 6 singles as her opponent was retired with an injury.

In doubles, Montague and her partner, rookie Abbey Clobridge (West Sand Lake, NY/Averill Park) fell to Caporale and sophomore Victoria Panicola (Shirley, NY/William Floyd), 8-4.

Sage returns to action on September 11 hosting Sarah Lawrence College in a Skyline Conference match at 1 p.m. at Prospect Park in Troy.
