RSC Track and Field Begins Outdoor Season at Utica

UTICA, N.Y. – Russell Sage College commenced the outdoor portion of its 2024-2025 schedule on Sunday at the Utica Almost Spring Invitational.

Senior Kaiden Simpson (Bennington, VT/Mount Anthony Union) won the javelin with a mark of 45.77m. 

Senior David Adadjo (Nassau, NY/Columbia) dashed 100m in 11.44, good for fourth out of 68 entries, while junior Chris Pellegrini (Loudonville, NY/Colonie Central) completed 800m in 2:12.14 to finish eighth.

On the women's side, junior Alexis Arango (Albany, NY/Albany) registered a pair of top-ten finishes. She ran 400m in 1:08.53 to take fifth, and sprinted 200m in 30.13 to finish ninth out of 33 entries. 

Looking ahead, the Gators compete next on Saturday at the Hamilton Invitational.
